I cast this piece years ago. It was done in a casting class, using cuttlefish bone. I'm just now doing something with it. It will be a pendant, as soon as I figure out the bail. I'm thinking of molding a bail from PMC.

I hate Michaels

The never carry what I want, and nothing else in the store will work with my visions. I'm never going back. I mean it. This is the last straw. I love the color of these boxes. They fit perfectly in a USPS flat rate small box. I bought all sorts of accoutrement to match it, only to find out that the label on the back doesn't peel off cleanly. These boxes weren't cheap, and now they are useless in their current form. I may be able to salvage them, but that will be another post for another day.

I love the flat finish on the paper and I can use hemp to tie it. I can't get a refund. I don't have the receipt. Michaels doesn't sell them anymore anyway. I'm looking for a new supplier.

Latest Creations

I have made many pieces
I'm going to blog about my latest creations, instead of trying to catch up on months of post. I recently purchased African trade beads an have been inspired to create stuff with them.

REDO

I made this trio of necklaces several years ago. I like the simplicity of the single teardrop crystal on a thin chain, but I didn't like the execution, so I remade it. I'm much happier with the result.

Crystal Earrings

I made these crystal heart earrings years ago, but never posted them or listed them for sale. I'm still not sure why. They're are well made and fashionable. I think they will do a lot to upgrade any casual everyday look.

The Butterfly Loops were made today on a whim.  I had these loops just laying around from a previously failed project and the butterflies kept winking at me, so I had to do something about it. I think they'll be great for butterfly lovers as a summer treat. Both pairs are made with Swarovski crystals and Sterling silver.

Sweatshirt Mod

I bought this sweatshirt years ago at Old Navy. I love the off-shoulder neckline and the bat wing sleeves. So you can imagine how heart broken I was, when I spilled something on it and it stained. I've had this Afro Girl stencil for a while, but never used it. I bought it with the Obama stencil at Stencil1. I tried positioning the stencil to cover the stain, and not sit too low. I had to consider how my big boobs would distort the stencil.  The positioning looks really low in the picture, but it's perfect when I wear it. The matte grey parts are where I added the glitter. I'm very happy with it.
